LRW - Challenge#29 "Put a Window in It"

It is Wed and Little Red Wagon Challenge Time again! This week Joanne has provided us with the challenge to "Put a window in it" So here is my interpretation of the Challenge...

I handcut a birdhouse and used my spellbinder die to cut a circle through the card once it was attached. I then placed the Sentiment pop dotted up in the centre of the circle. This way the Sentiment is on both the inside and the outside of the card! The shingles on the birdhouse was made using a Border strip on the opposite side of the Barcode of the paper! I am loving that paper companies are thinking of things like this these days!

The twig was cut with my cricut machine. I used a twig from the Serenade cartridge! Which I just love! It has so many cute shapes on it! I added a little stickles to the leaves.

Here is the inside of the card!

I added some ribbon and tied it in a bow! Just because I can never use enough ribbon!

I am looking forward to seeing how others "Put a window in it!" Please feel free to visit the Little Red Wagon Blog and link up your projects!

Sweet Spring

I took this photo of 2 tulips earlier this spring! I was so happy to be able to take it before the other plants started to grow in... I love the contrast of the Red Tulips against the more Rustic Fence Board! I have been enjoying this Pebbles "Tree House Collection" over this past week and have created another layout using this line.

Details: Sweet Stamp is American Crafts Dear Lizzy Line, I used the barcode border to create the stems of the flowers... I scored then down the centre and folded them to give them a little depth. Title is cut with the Cricut Alphalicious Cartridge. Dies used are spellbinder label and a scallop die from PTI

Blooming Watering Can

I have had this Watering Tin forever thinking I would alter it at some point... I had so much fun playing with my Itop the other day I just had to use it some more! I also made the canvas flowers myself...
I started by painting the tin green, I added some quick little flowers with pink and yellow paint to the spout and handle also.

I cut the word Grow using the "Spring" Slice cartridge and added alittle stickles and a felt flower I diecut myself with some added bling! I also cut the butterfly in brown felt using my spellbinder die.

The flowers are made using primed canvas that I cut with my flower spellbinder dies in different sizes... I then stamped them using a polka dot background stamp from PTI. I also cut the felt using spellbinder dies and PTI flower dies... the leaves are another Slice cut - I attached them all with the fabric brads I made using the Itop and glued the flowers and leaves to wooden Skewers (who says you can not use kitchen stuff for scrapbooking! LOL)

Inside the can I added some small rocks to hold the skewers in place and added a little plant material to cover the rocks...

I had a blast making this and was so happy that I used the tin finally... like seriously I think I have had it for like 5 years now!

50 Year Anniversary Page

Here is another layout I created a while ago for the album I am working on for my girlfriend. This is meant to be their 50th Wedding Anniversary page. The photo I have used will be replaced with one that they will take at the upcoming event in July when the family presents this album to them. I am hoping that we can also have everyone who attends the event sign their name on this page around the heart!

You Colour My World Layout!

When my family was here on the weekend we took some photos and I was so inspired with cutting out flowers for my flower pot card I also decided to scrapbook a layout using some of these pictures. Now while I am not a mother myself I thought this layout could definately represent how I feel about my 2 Nephews and Neice and just how much they mean to me! I wanted the layout to co-ordinate with the Title "You Colour My World" so I made the photos of each of them in black and white and then the photo of the 4 of us in Colour to represent my world! Here is my layout! Details to follow below:

Here is a close up of the clouds - I cut one of the clouds from the cloud patterned paper and used it as a template to cut one from the matching papers to the flowers I had cut out! since I went gung ho with the flowers I added one up with the clouds as well!

I cut down one of the 3x3 cards from the patterned paper line and used it for my journaling and added a little scalloped board in some of the brown patterned paper. I also added a little Stickles to the centre of the flowers to give them a little more pop!

I had some fun with Ribbon using a red ruffled one with a brown one that I scrunched every inch or so using some embroidery thread! I also added a felt scallop border under the ribbon!

I cut the title from two of the patterned pieces of paper to match the rest of the layout!

LRW -Challenge #28 Brads

The challenge this week on Little Red Wagon is to use Brads! I managed to use two types of brads on this flower pot card!

Details: Patterned Paper is from the Pebbles "Tree House Collection" and the one patterned paper just screamed to have the flowers hand cut! The Sentiment is PTI and the Ribbon was from my stash. I actually broke open my ITOP from it's package to try it out for one of the brads... I used a little piece of cut fabric to make the heart brad and applied a little bling flower on top of the heart... The other 2 brads are just some medium sized ones and I also applied a little bit of bling to the centre of them!
Looking forward to seeing all the creative things you can do with some brads! Make sure you link up your projects so we can check them all out!

Happy Mothers Day Cupcake

This is what it looks like all wrapped up!
Well it is Mothers day today and we have a rather busy day around here... I made the above cupcake box and pick for a cupcake for my Mother. I wanted something else in addition to the usual flowers I give her as a little surprise. I also made one for Wayne's Mom, my Sister in law and her mom as we are having my family over for a little bbq of chicken and shrimp!

Details for the cupcake - The box is cut with my cricut Using the sweet Treats Cartridge. I cut some extra flowers and added them on two sides of the box. I also used some k and co patterned paper and my circle punch to crate centres for the flower and in the center of the polka dots added a little yellow stickles! The Happy Mothers day pick was made using the Mothers Day 2010 Cricut solutions cartridge! Inside is a homemade chocolate cupcake with some sprinkles! I hope they enjoy!

To everyone who reads this Happy Mother's Day!

Spellbinders to create the tree, tree trunk is felt I cut the flower from my cricut and the word grow is a slice cut - I then used a little stickles to make them pop! Added some sequins and gems... I also coloured in the birdie stamp with my copics!

LRW Challenge#27 - Colours Pink & Green

Yeah... it is Wed again! Rosanne's pick this week was to create something Pink and Green! Since I appear to be on an American Crafts kick recently I used the Blue Skies Line to create this little very quick card!

Details: Patterned Paper: American Crafts "Blue Skies" I hand cut the birds from one of the papers in the line and pop dotted them off of the trees! I used a little bazzil bling cardstock and a new EK Success punch I purchased about a month ago! I was so excited to find this punch! The ribbon was from my stash and the Home Tweet Home is a sentiment from the Bird Watching set from PTI. Of course I just had to add a little stickles to the birdie wings!
