Crazy Card Party Challenge #15 - Wood

The challenge this week on Crazy Card Party is to use wood!  I have been hoarding wood veneer forever and could not wait to break open these two little birds to put on this cloud!   I used my cricut machine to cut this little cloud card!



Details:  Cricut Expression, April Showers Cricut Cartridge (Cloud), Straight from the Nest (Twig), Ink:  Hero Arts Soft Pool & Bubble Gum, PTI True Black, Stamps:  Lillybee (Persnickety), PTI (Little Bitty Bird Additions, Patterned Paper:  American Crafts -My Girl (Pink), Jillibean – Watermelon Gazpacho Soup (Green), Cardstock:  Bazzill (White & Brown), Stickers:  American Crafts – My Girl (Cloud 9 Sticker),  Punches:  Marvey (Small Heart, Small Flower) & Martha Stewart (Butterflies), Enamel dots:  My Minds Eye (Collectible), Stickles (Star Dust), Glossy Accents, Wooden Birds:  Studio Calico.
  • Cut the Cloud shape at 3 ¾” from white cardstock 2 times making sure to use the flip feature on the 2nd cut.
  • Stamp one of the clouds with the heart stamp and blue ink and Ink the Edges of the cloud with Blue ink.
  • Score the top of the white cloud that is not stamped at the ½” from the top and glue the top half to the other stamped cloud to make the card base.
  • Using the Flip Feature cut from brown cardstock at 1 ½”.
  • Using the Flip Feature cut the from green patterned paper two times to create the  
  • Glue the Branch to card.  Add the leaves .  For more dimension take the second cut of leaves and score them down the centre – glue only the centre part to the leaf.
  • Stamp the word Love Birds using black ink.
  • Punch 3 pink flowers from the pink patterned paper and pop dot them from the branches and add the enamel dots to the centres of the flowers.
  • Glue the birds.
  • Attach cloud phrase sticker with pop dots.
  • Punch the Butterflies and add them to the cloud sticker making sure to add an enamel dot to the centre of the butterflies.
  • Punch the heart from the pink patterned paper  fold down the centre and glue centre to the card and add some stickles. 
  • Add a pink stamped heart to the bottom of the card and add Glossy Accents.

Crazy Card Party Challenge #14 - Get Well

The challenge for this week's Crazy Card Party is to make a Get well Card, so I could not wait to break out one of my newer Cricut cartridges to create this Fell Better Soon Card!  I have to say - I am just loving these challenges - I have had so much new product broken in with the them!  Not only is this cartridge a first time use but so is the Paper Smooches Stamp set!


I added a little sparkle to the flowers by using some glossy accents to add some glittler!  Hee is a picture that shows the dimension to this card!


Details:
  1. All cuts are made at 5 ”.
  2. Cut 1 of the #1 from American Crafts White Cardstock to get the card base.
  3. Cut 1 of the F1+1 from Bazzill White smooth cardstock to get the insert and ink the edges in blue distress ink .  
  4. Cut 1 of the F1+1 from the American Crafts Blue Patterned paper and Ink the edges in blue distress ink.
  5. From Green Cardstock cut the #9 2 times – trimming off the leaves of one of the cuts, then score the leaves down the centre and glue to give dimension to the flower leaves.
  6. Cut 1 of the #10 from the Pink Patterned paper and ink the edges in pink in k.  Glue the first flower down to each flower and then score down 3 of the remaining flowers and add glossy accents and glitter to all 6 remaining flowers.  Once the glossy accents is dry glue the scored flower down to the remaining flowers to give some dimension .  Pop dot these flowers to the original green cut.
  7. Tie a piece of blue ribbon around the base of the flowers.
  8. Glue both the white and blue insert pieces to the card as shown.
  9. Glue the flowers thru the window of the card.
  10. Using the Cuttlebug cut the banner die and ink the edges in blue distress ink.
  11. Stamp sentiment in black ink on the banner and fold and glue across the front of the card.

Crazy Card Party Challenge #13 - April Showers!

It is my turn to host the Crazy Card Party Challenge this month!  I challenge you to create a "April Showers" Themed card!  This is free for interpretation... so anything weather, clouds, april memories, spring will fit!  I just really had this card in mind when I thought of the challenge!  I have always wanted to create a card with an umbrella and have some flowers growing out of it!


on the inside of the card it says...



Details:
1.       Cut 2 pieces of the Umbrella () from white cardstock at 5 ¼”.
2.       Cut the same cut from brown cardstock.
3.       Cut the from Mint Cardstock.
4.       Cut the Layer 1 from the flowered patterned paper.
5.       Cut the 3 flowers from pink woodgrain patterned paper at 1 ½” and 3 at 1 ¼”
6.       Cut the 2 flowers from yellow woodgrain patterned paper at 1 ½” and 2 at 1 ¼”
7.       Ink the edges of all the cuts.
8.       Create a card base with the white cut umbrellas.
9.       Glue on the Brown umbrella. Then the mint and flower cuts.
10.   Cut the rolled flower die from felt in pink and yellow and place in the centre of the flower.
11.   Die cut cloud from white cardstock. 
12.   Stamp sentiment on cloud and ink the edges in silver ink.
13.   Stamp the rest of the sentiment on the inside of the card.
14.   Add a bow tied in pink ribbon.

Crazy Card Party Challenge #12 - Wreath

The Challenge for this week is to use a wreath!  I have wanted to do a chalkboard card for a lon so I thought this PTI Wreath Stamp would be the perfect pair for that kind of card!  I stamped it and the sentiment in white embossing powder, then I coloured the leaves in with a Green Pitt Pastel from Faber-Castell!  Yet again... here i am using new products (my PTI Stamps, the Faber-Castell products and some new Pigment inks from Memento Luxe and Avery Elle!).  And of course how could I not resist adding in some cricut cuts (The black scallped square and the 3 leaves!). I had a blast making this Card!


Details:
  1. Cut  the Scalloped Square with the Shadow feature from Black Cardstock at 4 ½”.
  2. Using Versamark and White Embossing Powder stamp the Wreath and heat emboss.
  3. Stamp the sentiment in the same manner.
  4. Cut 3 of the Leaf at 1” from Green Cardstock.
  5. Using the cuttlebug and the matching dies to the stamp cut 3 pieces for the flowers and stamp the flowers.  The two smaller flowers are stamped in pink and the larger flower in purple.
  6. Using a green pencil crayon color in the wreath leaves.
  7. Using a paper towel and white pigment ink create a chalkboard look by rubbing the link with the paper towel onto the black cardstock shape.
  8. Score a square in the centre of the scallops and draw a white line just inside the scored lines – fold up the scallps.
  9. Glue the leaves down to the left bottom side of the stamped wreath and pop dot the flowers.  Bend the leaves slightly to give a little dimension.
  10. Glue onto a white card base.
  11. Add some stickles to the centre of the flowers and to the leaves and let dry.
