The Challenge is to create a project to represent something or a number of things you want to remember about 2011. We have had this outdoor cat haning around for a couple of years and he passed away this past summer... I have this cute little picture of him and wanted to create something to remember him by.

- Run the Scroll Frame cut through Xyron Sticker maker front face down to apply adhesive and then sprinkle glitter on adhesive.

Cricut Circle #50 Weekly Challenge - Under the Weather

I know it has been a while since I posted so I thought maybe I would try a little project... This is for the Weekly Challenge on the Cricut Circle Blog. The Challenge is to create something with the theme Under the Weather... so I decied to create a little flower pot with flower to give someone who was not feeling well... CAN YOU BELIEVE I created the flower pot and flowers with ontly 2 12x 12 white sheets of Cardstock!!! Yup... I used my Cricut Imagine!

I used the Imagine Cartridge Mr. Frosty to create the patterned paper for the shapes. I just filled the shapes on my Cricut Imagine with the patterned paper choices and cut them all the size I wanted. No waisting of Patterned Paper!

The Flower pot was created with the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More Cricut Cartridge... I cut out a popcorn box!

The Flowers are created by layering 3 different shapes of flowers from the Accent Essentials cricucut cartridge. I filled them with 3 different patterned papers and one solid pattern from the Mr. Frosty Cricut Imagine Cartridge.

Details: Cardtock: Bazzill (White); Patterned paper: Crate – Snow Day Collection – Melt (Blue & White) & (Pink & Red polka dot), Ribbon: American Crafts (Blue/Wht Stripes), Pom Pom Trim: Wrights Mini Pom Pom, Jewels: Bling: Bazzill Kisses Red, Stamps: Papertrey Ink (Snowfall Additions), Inkk: Papertrey Ink – True Black, Die cut machine: Cricut Expression, Die cut cartridges: Simply Charmed – Page 65 Mitten, Christmas Cheer – Page 106 Snowflakes.

1. Using the Simply Charmed Cricut Cartridge Cut 3 Mittens Pg 65 with the shadow feature turned on in white cardstock at 5 ¼” But the base of the mitten off of one cut and save to use.
2. Cut one in the Patterned Paper (Echo Park-Everybody Loves Christmas- Bright Stripes)
3. Cut the blue scallop strip from the (Crate Paper – Snow Day Collection Melt) Patterned paper long enough to fit the base of the Mitten.
4. Cut the Snowflake on Page 106 of the Christmas Cheer Cartridge at 2 ½”in White Cardstock
5. Score top of one white mitten at ¾” and glue the top portion to the second white mitten
6. Glue base of 3rd white mitten that was cut and reserved to the Polka dot patterned paper
7. Glue Scalloped cut piece from the Crate patterned paper to fit over the white mitten base.
8. Add score table to the scallop base and ruffle ribbon on the scallop piece.
9. Add more score tape on the top and add the pop pom trim
10. Stamp the Word Chilly from the PTI Stamp set titled “Snowfall Additions” in Black ink.
11. Add Snowflake that was cut from the Christmas Cheer Cartridge with a pop dot
12. Add Bling (Bazzil Kisses) to the centre of the snowflake.

TIP: Use a Little Score Tape to create the ruffled ribbon.

Cricut Circle Weekly Challenge #46 - Flower Fusion

ok.. so you can imagine my diapointment with respect to all the cool Black Friday Deals going on in the US so I have been monitoring sales down there just to see what I was missing.. while I noticed that Walmart was having a great deal on a Cricut Imagine machine in the US and I was thinking if I came across one I would splurge and get one... while of course I do not live in the US however... one day while purousing the isles at M's I came across the same deal! It was a non advertised sale... so of course I picked one up - here is my first project using the new machine...

I printed and cut the Butterfly Image from the Elegant Edges cartridge and filled it with Yellow Patterned Paper on the Image More Cartridge that comes with the Cricut Imagine machine. It is cut at 4.5" I then cut 2 from white cardstock to create the card base! I also printed and cut the Spread your Wings sentiment along with an extra butterfly at 1.5" so that I could create a 3D look to the butterfly. I also cut the Scallop Rosette from the Cricut Expression from Brown Cardstock to create the Rosette. The Challenge for this Weeks Cricut Circle is to use flowers... I have added 4 small flower blings to the butterfly and a Paper flower to the ribbon as well as some Flower Beads to a hatpin to create the antenee for the butterfly.

Details: Cricut Imagine and Expression 2, Cartridges: Elegant Edges, Ribbons & Rosettes, Imagine More Cricut Cartridge, Paper Flower is Recollections, Flower Bling is from Dollarama, Flower Beads and Hatpins are from an old Scraptivity Kit. Ribbon is a brown seambinding, Patterned Paper: cut on Cricut Imagaine.

Butterfly: Elegant Edges Cartridge Filled with the Yellow PP from the Imagine More Cartridge Printed & Cut at 4.5" Cut 2 more just in white cardstock for the base of the card.

Sentiment: Printed & Cut from the Imagine More Cartridge at 1.5" I cut an extra butterfly.

Rosette: Ribbons & Rosettes Cartridge Cut 6 of the at 1.5" in brown cardstock.

Cricut Cirlce Monthly Challenge: Signs of Fall with Texture

I recently have joined the Cricut Cirlce and was dying to also check out one of my newest Cricut Purchases... the Expression 2 5th Anniversary Edition: I waited in line for this baby at Micheals last week as I purchased it for a steal and it came with 4 Cartridges Preloaded! (Just a note... they only had 4 of these at each location!) So I decided to participate in the Monthly Challenge on the Cricut Circle Blog... and I created this little 3D Fall Bag which is perfect for holding some cool little treats in!

The Challenge on the blog is to use at least 2 different cricut cuts, create texture and to use items that make you think of Fall! So here is my Project!

I created texture with using the Wooden Buttons and Twine at the top, I created layers with different leaves and also added some 3D leaves by cutting the leaves 2 times and folding the top one. I also inked the Acorn and added some twine! I also finished it off with a litle glitter around the cricut frame I cut!

Here is a little close up of the bag details so you can see the layering and 3D leaves that I created. All in all I used 7 different Cricut cuts to create this project!

Friendzy Friday!

My Friendzy Friday for this week is a little out of the ordinary but I just could not resist after seeing how to make this cute little pin cushion and then coming across the Perfect Fabric to match my Scraproom at Two Scrapbook Friends I just had to make it! It is perfect for storing some decorative Scrapbook Hatpins and makes for a pretty decoration in the room as well!

Just a reminder of my tip that you colour your bling! Here I made my bling look black with a dark grey copic marker!

Did you know that you can use your copic markers to change the colours of items? Here are just a few examples! First up I will show you how you take clear Kaisercraft Sparklets or any Bling and by just colouring them with a copic you can totally transform the look of them!

All you need is a little bling and a copic marker!

Colour in your bling until you like the colour!

And now you have a different colour of Bling!

LRW-Challenge #108 - Christmas Themed Project

I used the Echo Park Holy Jolly Christmas line and cut the base from Brown Cardstock. I added the Little Chipboard Santa and a Blue Bow!

TSF DT Reveal Day 3 - Mitten stocking

Here is another item I made a few weeks ago as part of my DT Kit.

It is sewn together and holds items like a stocking! The Mitten itself is an SVG File from My Time Made Easy I used a sewing machine to sew around the edge of the mitten so it has a pocket inside to store items like candy canes etc.!

Here is a layout I created with my DT Kit - Echo Park (Holly Jolly) I had this photo of my Mom & Dad's Elegant Outdoor Christmas Decorations and thought it was perfect for using some of the cool Emblishments that came with this Line!

This line has these adorable little house and 2 cool border strips that I used

I could not resit pop dotting the little leter stickers onto the little christmas bulbs and hang them from some twine!

I just loved this little christmas light border and had to add it to the roof of my house! I also added a cool Maya Raod Snowflake!

I found this really cute 3D SVG File at Lori Whitlock's Digital Store and just thought it was perfect to match with my DT Kit's Echo Park - Holly Jolly line!

LRW - Challenge#107 - Paper Piece a Stamped Image

The Challenge this week is to paper piece a stamped image! I have had these stamps forever and have finally used them from my Wagon!

Details: PP - Echo Park Splash 6x6, Stamps: (Stamping Bella Cloudy Inkblock, PTI - Hanging out), Martha Stewart Fringe Sicsors, Ink - PTI (True Black, Hibiscus Burst, lemon tart).

Stamp the dress of 3 different pices of patterned paper and handcut, cut the blue water paper for the bottom and a green piece of cardstock - cut a wave on the green cardstock on one long side and use the fringe sicscors to create the look of grass. Stamp the cloud background with Lemon tart ink. Stamp the closesline in black ink. Stamp sentiment and glue down all the pieces.

The Challenge this week on Little Red Wagon is to create something with a congratulations theme! Here is a card I created!

Details: Sentiment: PTI (Boards & Beams, Bitty Baby Blessings), Ink: PTI (Dark Chocolate, Hibiscus Burst), Cricut Expression, Cirucut Cartridges (Give a Hoot, Straight from the Nest), PP (Bo Bunny), Bazzil Cardstock, Ribbon (PTI), Paper Flower (Marthat Stewart.

The branch is from the Straight from the nest cartridge, I cut it at 2 1/2" and cut the leaves from the bo bunny pp (2 times once to glue on the base the 2nd to fold and attach giving dimension. The nest is cut at 2" from the Give a Hoot cartridge, I used a circle punch to cut a hole in the centre of the base layer nest.

This card was published in the magazine on Pages 18 & 19 and included in one of the email Newsletters. It is also featured in the table of contents of the Magazine.

SWEET TREAT: Cardstock: Bazzill Basics; Patterned Paper: K&Company; Ribbon: Michaels; Twine: Papertrey Ink; Chipboard, Button: Craft Supply; Sentiment Stamp: Stamping Bella; Ink: Papertrey Ink, Versamark; Embossing Powder: Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel; Glitter: Making Memories; Marker: Copic; Cricut Die Cut Machine; Sweet Treats Cricut Cartridge.

Using the Sweet Treats Cricut Cartridge, die cut a cupcake card base from white cardstock. Diecut another cupcake and its elements from cardstock, patterned paper and chipboard. Adhere the cupcake liner to the pink cupcake base, and tie a ribbon into a bow on the right side. Add the top layer of the cupcake and adhere the entire piece to the card front. Adhere the cardsstock heart to the chipboard heart and apply glittered embossing powder before attaching to the top fo the cupcake. Stamp a sentiment onto a white cardstock strip and attach to the heart. Colour the twine with a marker to make it red and tie it through a heart button, then glue it to the sentiment. Apply glitter to the slots of the cupcake liner.

Tip: Create your own glittered embossing powder by adding one part glitter to two pars embossing powder then use as normal.

My Very First Publication!

I thought I might start updating my blog with some of the publications I have had over the last year.

Here is very first card that was published back in the Cards January 2011 edition,the Card is on Page 45.

I LOVE YOU SO MUCH: Cardstockm, butttons, stamps: Papertrey Ink; Patterned Paper: Die Cuts with a View; Stickpins: Fancy Pants Designs; Ribbon: Celebrate it from Micheals; Fabric: Craft Supply; Jewels: Dollarama; Ink: Memento, Papertrey ink; Markers: Copic; Punches; Stampin' Up (Split punch & Slot punch); Die cut machine: Cuttlebug, Dies:Cuttlebug flowers, Spellbinders Label 1

Create a card of white cardstock and cover the front with green patterned paper. Punch a scalloped border and attach it to the right side of the card. Die cut three fabric flowers in different sizes (2 in pink fabric and one in brown fabric using the flower cuttle bug die, then die cut the label and ink the edges. Colour in the flowers leaves with a marker. cut out a 2" circle of the brown fabri and stitch a basting stitch around the edge. Pull the tread so the ircle gathers and makes a yo-yo flower. Adhere it to the label and add a fabric flower. Layer both with flowers, buttons and jewels. Adhere the label to the right side of the card with foam adhesive. Thread a ribbon through the hole punch and place stick pins through the bow.

TSF - American Crafts - Daydreamer (Our New Arrivals Layout)

Here is another project I created using the American Crafts Daydreamer Line We had this Cute Little Robins nest this past year and we ended up with these cute little fluffy birds! I could not resist creating a layout about it!

The Twig was created using the Straight from the Nest Cricut Cartridge and was cut at 5" The Birdhouse is a sizzix die The Clouds and Owls are from the matching sticker Remarks sheet from American Crafts.

The next was created using teh Give a Hoot Cricut Cartridge and was cut at 3 3/4" The title was created using Pink My Little Shoebox Letter Stickers and American Crafts Thickers (Amy Tangerine "Lovely") I made the work Arrivals stick up a little by adding them to some acetate and attaching it to the pop dotted nest.

I coul not resist adding a little more dimension to the twig by cutting 2 copies of the leaves from the paterened paper and folding them down the centre to give them dimension before gluing the 2nd leaf down.

My TSF Weekend Retreat!

I had a blast with my friends at the Two Scrapbook Friends Retreat and I accomplished so much! You will be seeing items posted on my blog starting in a couple of weeks that I created on my weekend away... Unfortunately I have to wait till they are released to post!

I can however show this card I created to achieve a number of challenges on the weeked!

I only had Christmas PP with me so I made this card with Bella Blvd - Christmas Wishes Patterned Paper. the Rubon is from Studio Calico, the brad is making memories, the sentiment is PTI and I added a little yellow with a My Favorite Things Butterfly die, some ribbon and a strip of yellow cardstock which i added a scalloped boarder with using my split punch. This pink Chipboard heart is from the Bella Blvd Line that matches the PP.

I had a lot of fun getting know some of the Design Team members a little more and of course my two coherts Dee and Regan are always a blast!

The Challenge this week on Little Red Wagon is "Purple People Eater" I created this cute little Purple Monster using the Mini Monsters Cricut Cartridge.

Details: I used the monster on Page 39 of the Mini Monsters Cricut cartride and cut him at 4" High. Sentiment is a Stamping Bella phrase and I coloured some twine purple with a copic marker. Patterned paper is Echo Park.

TSF - American Crafs - Daydreamer (Baby Onsie & Booties)

I made the following little matching set as part of my DT Kit for Two Scrapbook Friends using the American Crafts Daydreamer line!

Details: I created this Onsie card using the Life's a Party Cricut Cartridge the Onsie is on Page 29 and I cut it at 5 1/2" using the Shift Key. The Flower and Leaves are handcut from the Patterned Paper and the little button closure is from the sticker sheet. I added a little stickles to the centre of the flower and folde the leaves a little to give them some depth. The sentiment is a PTI Stamp.

Details: I found this cute little SVG File from My Time Made Easy to create these cute little booties. I cut it from White Cardstock and the Patterned paper. I added some eyelets and tied them together with a cute little bow. The Flower and leaves were again cut from the patterned paper and I added a little stickles to the cetnre of the flower.

Happy Halloween Everyone!

I just found this new SVG site and could not resist making one more Halloween Item! So here it is!

Items Use: Witch Hat from SVG Attic, Echo Park (Times & Seasons - Fancy Damask) Patterned Paper, Black mini Boa from Creatology, Ribbon is Basic Basic from Micheals, Kaisercraft Sparklets, Stamp: PTI Halloween Treats & Sweets, Ink: PTI True Black

I cut the SVG file at 7" and attached the brim to the cone and added the boa, made a Ribbon Rosette and added the bling to the centre.

I must say that his cake is just gorgeous! I took the inspiration of the fact that it was a cake and used the colours white and yellow from the inspiration photo and created another cricut cake creation!

TSF - American Crafts (Amy Tangerine) Reveal #4 - Picture Purrfect Layout

Here is my final reveal using the American Crafts Amy Tangerine Line!

I handcut the Sun and cloud from the Patterned paper and when attaching it I made sure that some of the sun rays overlapped the phot. Here I again used an exacto knife to trim around the camera on the Patterned paper and sliped my cute little photo of my cat Miko outside soaking up the sun on our Front porch off the Master Bedroom! I cut a few scalloped Strips of patterned paper using my Split punch from Stampin Up but any scalloped punch would work just perfectly!

I added som Sassafrass Cardstock Stickers and some Bella Blvd Chipboard Letter stickers and added some punched hearts to the centres of the letters! As you can tell I just could not resist the play on the word perfect by changing it to purrfect because of Miko!

I added a little journaling strips along the side and added some popdots to some of the journal strips!

LRW - Chalelnge #103 - Fall Themed Project x2

The challenge for this week on Little Red Wagon is to create a Fall Themed Project! So I decided since I was off I would create 2 very different projects to kick off the challenge for week! I have created both a card and some cookies using a Cricut Cake Machine! (My very first attempt at something on this new machine!!!)

First Up is this little Pumpkin Card!

I used the Create A Critter Cricut Cartridge the cut is on Page 70 and I cut it at 4" 2 times and cut away the sides on the 2nd piece. Items used are: PTI Sentiment, PP - Echo park Dots and Stripes, Bo Bunny Double Dot, Twine and Button are also PTI products!

And next up! Here are some cookies I made!!!

I used the Cake Basics Cricut Cake Cartridge and cut some sugar cookies and matching marshmellow fondant in the Cricut Cake Machine at 3 1/2"

Considering this was my first time ever using the machine here are are a few tidbits of helpful hints!!! One - you have never rolled your dough or fondant enough!!!! I used the Wilton Orange Rings on the Wilton Roling pin and kept rolling till the dough did not move any more!! This is then the perfect thickness - I used a Medium speed and Max pressure on the dials and freeze the dough rolled on the mat for 30 min before cutting and the fondant for 1 hour before cutting! And voila - here you have it!

TSF - American Crafts (Amy Tangerine) Reveal #3

Todays Reveal is another 3D Project that I have created using 2 SVG Files that I found online at My Time Made Easy The Tulips SVG File is Called Tender Tulips from the My Time Made Easy SVG Shop. Here I created them from the Patterned Paper and I covered Straws with patterned paper to use as the stems.

The other SVG File I used was the Fresh Popped Popcorn Box from the My Time Made Easy SVG shop. If you score the top and fold it down it looks like a flower pot! I used Some Bo Bunny Double Dot paper to create the base and Embossed the Off White cardstock with the Cuttlebug Divine Swirl Embosing Folder.

I then Cut the Frame from the Patterned Paper and added the Cloud Sticker and then stamped the Word Sweet from the American Crafts Line in Brown ink on off white cardstock

To give the Pot some weight I added a few beans and covered them with some moss I had in my stash. This will also help the tulips to stand up in the pot.

TSF - American Crafts (Amy Tangerine) Reveal #2

Here is Reveal # 2 for the Amy Tangerine Line from American Crafts! Here is a very simple layout I created about things I enjoy in life right now!

I cut the Scalloped border at 1 1/2" using the Elegant Edges Cricut Cartridge(Pg 23) and topped the border Strip with a rosette trim I had left over in my stash... I added the Thickers Chipboard Letters for the title!

I choose to cut the frames from the Patterned Paper and attach them in the corner to use for my Journaling on the layout!

There was a details sticker from the other American Crafts Line Daydreams that I played with and I thought it was just too perfect for the flower on the righthand bottom corner. I changed it up a bit because it had some orange bling in the centre and wanted the centre of the flower to match the page better so I replaced it with some bling from Basic Grey that I had in my stash!

TSF - American Crafts (Amy Tangerine) Reveal

It is time for me to start revealing the products I have created using some new American Crafts Lines from Two Scrapbook Friends - Here is a project I created with some of the Amy Tangerine Line - over the next week I will reveal some of the items I created with this very cool line!

Here is a layout I did with my youngest Nephew! As soon as I had seen the paper I knew this picture would be absolutely perfect! Using an exacto knife I trimmed around the cloud on the patterned paper and sliped the photo in behind the trimed cloud. I added the title using two different Thickers and then added the delightful Remarks Sticker.

Here is a close up of the Clouds that I had hand cut from a second piece of paper and then I punched some butterflies from a Martha Stewart Monarch Punch and pop dotted some of the clouds. I added a little bling and stickles to some of the butterflies!

LRW - Challenge #102 - Use a Ticket!

The Challenge this week was to use a ticket! So I decided to create this little popcorn box and use some movie tickets on it!

Details: The popcorn box was created using the the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More Cricut Cartridge, I cut the box using the fit to page feature to make it as large as I could on the 12x12 Mat. Patterned Paper: is Jillibean Soup Staples, The Tickets are created using the Matching Stamp Die Set from My Favorite Things. Button, Twine and ribbon were from my stash!

LRW - Challenge#99 - Repeat, Repeat, Repeat

The Challenge for this week on Little Red Wagon is to stamp a image a number of times on your project! Here I used a Damask image from PTI to create this quick little card!

I saw Heather P's card and just had to make my own!

All products are PTI, Stamps are Damask Designs and I used True Black Ink and added a little stickles to the centre of each stamp

Here is another Layout I created with the Jillibean Apple Cheddar Soup line...

I started by cutting 1 1/2" strips from the woodgrain patterned paper and with a stapler started pleating the strips and stapling the pleats to a piece of light blue cardstock. I then trimed the blue patterned paper to slightly smaller than the piece of cardstock and attached it making sure to cover the staples. I cut 2 strips of patterned paper from the green and the brown check pp. The apple is cut from the Wrap It Up Cricut cartridge, I cut the apple from the red pp and the stem from the woodgrain and the leaf from a piece of the green patterned papers. The letter Stickers Love, You, Core are from American Crafts and the to the portion of the title is from the stiker sheet from the line of patterned paper. The Clouds were cut using a PTI Die I have but you could definately use a My Favorite Things Die instead They also have a cutle little set of cloud dies. The little hearts are also from the sticker sheet.

3D Pumpkin

I thought I would share with you today a little 3D Project I recently created for Two Scrapbook Friends. It was created with the Jillibean "Apple Cheddar Soup" Line.

I found this Pumpkin SVG file on SVG Cuts if you click the link it shows you a video tutorial on how the pupkin is created! I had a blast making it... and for all those who are wondering what is inside... it is not nearly as interesting at the Recess Peanut Butter Cups in the Apples! LOL! It is only Rice... I noticed once I started to put the pupkin together that it was going to need a little weight for it to sit upright!

Patterned Paper: Jillibean Apple Cheddar Soup. Cardstock is Bazzill, I embossed the leaf cut with my Cuttlebug and a cuttlebug embossing folder and added a little Kaiser Craft Bling to the centre of the flower!

TSF - Friendzy Friday - Colouring Chipboard Letters/Shapes

One of the projects I created with this last months kit was with the Jillibean "Apple Cheddar Soup" Here is a layout I did of my Niece and I changed up some chipboard by inking it and applying glossy accents and I just love how it turned out! Today I will show you the technique in the video below!

Products used are: Jillibean "Apple Cheddar Soup" (Patterned Paper & sticker embelishments) The Blossom Trim is by Websters Pages, I used a little Pure Poppy Ink from PTI on the chipboard letters and Dark Chocolate Ink on the Maya Road Chipboard Wheel barrel, The butterflies were created with 2 Martha Stewart Punches and I used some letter stickers from my stash for the rest of the title, all this is finished off with a little stiching using my Sewing machine!

Here is a close up of how the Inked Chipboard turned out!

I have created a little video tutorial to show you how I created the effect with the Chipboard Letters!

The Basic Instructions are as follows:

Tap the chipboard piece on the ink pad making sure that you cover the entire surface of the chipboard.
Let it dry completely
Apply a nice even coat of Glossy Accents and let it dry completely before attaching to the layout!

I used an SVG File I found on the My Favorite Things website.

All products used are from the Jillibean "Apple Cheddar Soup" I added a little felt leaves using a PTI Die and some buttons from my stash and a little twine and Ribbon.

In Memory of Ginger...

This little fellow has been hanging around our house practically since we moved in 3 years ago... He has very quickly become a pal to both Wayne and I... while he would not ever let us touch him he would sit on our front porch... and let us talk to him... he would sit in the shop with Wayne while he was working and even just recently sat in the backyard with us while we ate our lunch! He seemed to love the smell of hotdogs!

He has unfortunately passed on a week ago and we just found him just yesterday. He will always be rembered by both Wayne and I! I am just so thankful that we were able to provide him with as comfortable of a life as we could for him... Wayne built him 2 heated cat houses for the winter and we were finally able to coax him up to the shop this past winter during the bad weather. He would quite often be found sleeping on the lawnmower in the shop here is sitting on the lawnmower!

Here he is just outside of one of his heated cat houses...

Ginger you will definately be missed!

I have decided to split my Reveal up into 2 days since I created a Mini Album as well which will be focused on my blog tomrrow!

This layout was created about my trip to Cincinatti for the PTI Stamp A Faire! I had a blast with my pals Dee and Regan and finally met Maria in person!

Here is a picture I took this summer with my Dad! He drives limo on the side and knows all the perfect spots to take photos so he drove me around downtown at dusk one night and I got this shot!

TSF - Friendzy Friday Video Tutorial - 3D Butterflies

Today I am going to share with you the first video tutorial I have ever created so please bear with me... I am going to show you how to make these cute little 3D Butterflies that you can use to embelish a scrapbook page, make into magnets or use on a 3D object!

The items used in the Tutorial are:

Cricut Cake Cartridge: Birthday Cake
Patterned Paper & Sentiment Stickers: Little Yellow Bicycle - Sweet Summertime
Baby Flat Chothespins I purchased at the craft store
Adhesive: 3 in 1
Paint: Making Memories Honeydew

Directions are as follow:

Paint the Clothespin and set aside to dry
Cut 2 of the Butterflies from Page 31 at 3 1/2"
Score the top Buttefly on either side of the body of the butterfly
Cut the Antenna from the bottom Butterfly
Glue the Body of the top butterfly to the bottom one
Glue the Clothespin to the butterfly
Attach the Sentiment Sticker

ok... so I know it has been a while since I posted but I have had just a crazy life happening recently... So on to my August Two Scrapbook Friends DT Reveal...

I have to say... I just loved this kit to bits... It just screamed out to me to create the following items and I have to say... each of the layouts below I am so happy with the layouts and they only took me one hour each to make... this is a pure happy record for me since I am usually spend an average of 4 hours on a layout... I think it all comes down to just all the creative juices flowing since I love the kit so much!

My altered project for the month is this little Lemonade Stand Card Gift Set...

My First Layout was created with pictures of my Niece and 2 Nephews eating Watermellon at my parents place... Are they just not too cute or what!

You will want you use this when when creating with the Tulle, the Fabric or Cepe paper streamers. Christa's technique will work best with the Ric Rac!

The Challenge this week is to create something in the theme for Canada Day or the 4th of July... Here is my project - Please also watch for another project in this theme coming on Friday where I will be participating in a Canada Wide Blog Hop in this same theme with BLOG CANDY as well!!

Details are as follows: I used the Swiss Dots cuttlebug folder to emboss the base red cardstock - added some new ribbon I picked up at Hobby Lobby - My dad took me for a drive across the border! Cut the Maple Leaf out of White Cardstock and used the negative shape - I stamped the saying clebrate today with the PTI Mixed Messages sentiment - Ink and cardstock are PTI. I added a little bling and tada... finished card!

Well it is time for another Challenge on the Little Red Wagon Blog... I have been dealing with a really nasty cold/sinus infection for about 6 days now... it is not going away... I used a Hero Arts Stamp for the ties but coloured them and cut them apart... they are pop dotted off the card. I aslso used a scalpy border from Bella and the Happy Fathers day is a Unity stamp!

Two Scrapbook Friends - Friendzy Friday (Bracelet)

Welcome to another Friendzy Friday! Here I am using the little Wooden Spools that Two Scrapbook Friends have to make a bracelet!

You will need some Patterned Paper (My Mind's Eye - Lime Twist), Twine, Buttons, Wooden Spools and String elastic. First cut the patterned paper into 1/4" inch strips

Then Glue them to the Wooden Spools You will also want to wrap some of the spools in some twine

Once the spools are all covered start to thread them on the Elastic String alternating colour choices and inserting buttons every once in a while

Once all the spools & Buttons are threaded onto the twine to create a long enough bracelet tie off the elastic and voila!

You have a finished bracelet!!!

Two Scrapbook Friends - June DT Reveal

This month I was given Bo Bunny Ab Lib and let me tell you - this was such a cool line to work with! I pretty much designed these layouts while I was in the store when I picked up the kit!

Here is What I came Up with!

Just Relax Layout

This layout uses Bella Blvd Letter Stickers, Websters Pages (Orange Flower), Orange Bling (Making Memories), Ek Success Boarder Punch, Stampin Up Scallop Punch

My Life Documented Layout

I used a Cosmo Cricket Gluber to create the flower with some Fabric, The leaves are Cut with the Cricut (Accent Essentials Cartridge) Title is Bo Bunny and Glitz Stickers, Journaling pulls out if you pulll the tab!

Who Me? Layout

At Easter my nephew decided to get into the fridge and add his touch to the pumpkin pie that my Sister In Law made for dessert! Here the Title is cut from the Cricut (Don Jaun Cartridge) The Scallop Base for the photos is also cut from the Cricut (Accent Essentials Cartridge)

Love Life Card

Tour of Fie Headquarters

On Friday Rhonda (my new boss at work) and I took a tour of Fire Headquarters... while I go there quite regularly for meetings I though it might be kinda cool to tag along for a tour with her! It was a lot of fun and it was just like beign a kid again!

Here is a picture of us sitting on the front fender of one fo the Trucks we toured the inside of:

Since we had such a good time on the tour I decided to make up a quick thank you card for the Deptuty Fire Chief that provided the tour - and of course I just had to make it in the shape of a Fire Truck!

I used the Everyday Paperdolls Cricut Cartridge, some cardstock, a little acetate for the windows and some Red My Mind's Eye Patterned paper. Sentiment and tag are PTI!

I hope he likes it! I plan on baking him some cookies to go along with it!

Well another month has just flown by.. This month I was able to play with some Jillibean Blossom Soup! I just love this line and I had just a tone of amazing products to play with in this kit!!! Here are the projects I came up with!

Scrapfest Hightlights

I have to say as soon as I found out that Fancy Pants and Maya Road would be at Scrapfest this year I just knew I had to take part somehow in both these Cool Attendees in some Way. Well it turns out that my Girlfriend's Teri and Denise both won the highly coveted Aprons... Denise knowing just how much I was drooling over hers decided to give it to me! Here is a pic of Teri & I wearing our aprons with the owners of Fancy Pants!

I also had to make sure I managed to do the Maya Road Make N Take... as it turns out I just managed to hit the Make N Take when she was switching over and managed to do 2 of them!

I also signed up for the very last Maya Road Freebie Classs and I was just visiting the Maya Raod Blog and noticed this pic on the blog... That is me on the far Right in the 2nd Row from the front!

There were many other things I enjoyed about the weekend... spending time with Heather, Teri, Jen and Denise... while I did not end up scrapping much at the crop I did totally enjoy connecting with everyone! This is also the first year that I helped out at the event and Filled in at the Two Scrapbook Friends Make N Take at their booth! All in all I would have to say that this was the best Scrapfest ever!!!

LRW - Challeng #75

The challenge this week was to use the colour combo White, pale pink and pale yellow and you cold use another colour for the sentiment. Since I chose no sentiment on the card I felt I could cheat and add the green leaves!

DT Reveal - April 1

I know I must always seem to say this but I think this has been one of my most favorite kits for DT yet! We got these really cool tubes to play with, I filled mine with Jelly Beans and created this little Castle using a tea box I had in the cupboard as a template!

My Kit contained the My Mind's Eye Good Day Sunshine! And this is what I made using the line of paper!

Each of us also got these cool Kaiser Beyond the Page Kits to play with I received the Tabbed Journal in my kit and had a blast playing around with it! I painted the wood with some glimmer glaze and then cut out pieces of the patterned paper to use as my backdrop!

The Challenge this week is to use Green for St. Patrick's Day on Little Red Wagon. This week I chose to create 2 projects using this challenge. One is for the Card Challenge on the forum at Two Scrapbook Friends which is to create a St. Patrick's day card!

1st Magazine Publication! - Cards January 2011

This is my very first published card! And I have been so excited about seeing it in the magazine! I basically ran to the Post Office when I knew my copy had arrived!

March Design Team Reveal

Well I can not believe that 2 months of this year has already gone by! It is time for another Design Team Reveal at Two Scrapbook Friends and this month I got to play with Kaiser Craft "Candy Lane" when I first saw this line I just knew it was perfect for pictures with my niece! You will note that she is wearing the same dress in 2 different layouts. She got the dress for her Mexico Trip in January and she has not yet taken it off!! So her picture from her Birthday which was in Mid Feb also has her wearing the same dress!

First off I created this little shaped Card using the Once Upon a Princess Cricut Cartridge

Then I created this little 3-D Tea Cup that is perfect to house a few home baked cookies as a hostess gift! I got the template from My Time Made Easy

This line had the cutest little Cupcakes and Tea Cups and Pots and as I was looking through photos to scrap I came across these adorable photos from a few years ago where my Niece was have her own little Tea Party. The Cricut Cut Title is from the "Birthday Cakes" Cricut Cartridge!

This is a photo of my Niece from their Mexico Trip this past January. I thought the dress was just perfect for all the flowers on this patterned paper. I took a second Sheet and cut the flower and pop dotted them the Title: Flower Word cut from Don Jaun Cartridge, and Power from the Paisley Cricut Cartridge, I Flocked the title and it turned out really cool! I also cut the Pink Butterfly from the Paisley Cricut cartridge and applied it on top of the Orange Felt one that came in my kit!

This is from My Neice's birthday in January... I cut the strip of cupcakes from the patterned paper and used one of the big chipboard Cupcakes, made my own candle as the "I" in Wish out of the patterned paper and added a little crepe paper!

Well I just got home from another very enjoyable evening at Rosanne's! With Great company and of course amazing food!!! Here is my contribution to the Swap, I made 9 of these little Cupcake pin cushions!

The Blue Flower was made with the Sizzix die that I cut from Felt!

Of course I had to package these in a cute manner so I made these tags to go along with them...

And here is the finished product all wrapped up!

I used the Sweet Treats Cricut Cartridge to create this cute little wedding cake card. Added a white American crafts flower cut from trim and some small punched flowers with some liquid pearls! The sentiment and ribbon is PTI!

LRW-Challenge#65 Use some Lace

The Challenge this week on Little Red Wagon is to use some Lace! I actually had a little time to play in my scraproom over the weekend and came up with this!

Items used: Fancy Pants Lace, PTI, Stamps - Fillable Frames #10 (sentiment) and Love Songs - I created the XOXO background with one of the stamps. Ribon is PTI Hibiscus Burst and I also used the Fillable Frames #10 Die as the background for the heart. The heart is a sizzix die that I used to cut some Red Felt. PP is K&Co. and I used some Pure Poppy Cardstock!

LRW - One Layer Challenge

Freindzy Friday - Make a misted flower

I thought since Dee showed you all how to make your crinkle ribbon a little while ago I thought Iwould show you that you can also use the Mists on Fabric or Canvas!

Here I have use the mist to create a rolled canvas flower on a layout!

The items you will need are: Canvas spiral flower, Mist, some papertowel and a box to catch the overspray!

Mist the canvas and lightly dabb off using the papertowel... I used about 2 coats of the spray to get the vibrant pink flower I used on the layout below! Roll up the flower and attach it to the layout along with some misted leaves!

As you can see you can use the mist on a number of things... I used it on the doily's and the Prima leaves as well!
