FCCB#220 Wet and Wild - Ahoy there Matey!

This week's challenge on Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog is to create anything water related!

I have to say I had a blast making this project!  I could not resist adding all the cool little details like the Pirate Hat and the Waves!  I started out with a SVG file from Cre8ive Cutz called Pirate Ship which I altered the ship mast a bit to suit the additional details.  I cut a number of different styles of waves from the Artbooking criut cartridge to create the waves around the ship.

I added this cute little pirate hat cut from the Boys Will Be Boys cricut cartridge!  The pieces were inked and I used a glittered cardstock for the pirate knife handle, I could not resist backing it all with a little burlap!

I hope you can play along with us at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog!

Details:
  1. From Black cardstock and Red and white patterned paper cut the  size noted on the SVG File for the different pirate ship pieces.
  2. Cut the Pirate Hat on pg 73 of the Boys will be Boys cricut cartridge at 2 1/2” from Black Cardstock.
  3. Cut the Knife layer at the same size from Gold  Glittered paper.
  4. Cut the with the layer feature from silver/Grey cardstock at the same size.
  5. Cut the with the layer feature from both white cardstock and the red and white striped patterned paper.
  6. Cut  (Wave) using the with border feature and Real Dial size at 1” from dark blue cardstock 2 times and then another 2 with the flip feature from the Artbooking cartridge.
  7. Cut (wave) using the with border feature and Real Dial Size at 2” from light blue cardstock 2 times and then another 2 with the flip feature from the Artbooking cartridge.
  8. Follow the Svg instructions to put the pirate ship together, inking the red and white cuts with Red ink first.
  9. After inking the edges Glue the Pirate hat pieces together ad glue to the burlap circle, then cut triangle shapes from burlap around the circle and add to the pirate ship.
  10. Glue the different wave pieces together to create the water.
