Crazy Card Party # 27 - Use your Diecuts!


It is my turn again to choose the challenge for this week and I challenge you to use your diecuts... either manual, paper, or electronic!  I decided to try a technique called Inlayed Diecutting to create this card... my friend Patricia let me use her Lawn fawn Die cuts that I have been drooling over!

Now lets see you use those die cuts!

Crazy Card Party #24 - Canada Day, Red & White (Oh Happy Day Eh!)

The Challenge this week on Crazy Card Party is to use the colours Red and White!  I could not resist making a cute little Canada Day Card!  I also used my Cricut for the scalloped Square and Leaf!


Details:
  1. Cut  the Scalloped Square with the Shadow feature from Black Cardstock at 4 ½”.
  2. Trim the edges off of a Red Doily.
  3. Hand cut the Picture frame  from the patterned paper.
  4. Stamp the sentiment in the centre of the frame
  5. Cut 3 of the Leaf at 2” using Real Dial Size and the icon buttons from Striped patterned paper and Red cardstock.
  6. Using the cuttlebug and the tiny tags die cut the heart die from patterned paper and stamp Eh!
  7. Using a paper towel and white pigment ink create a chalkboard look by rubbing the link with the paper towel onto the black cardstock shape.
  8. Score a square in the centre of the scallops and draw a white line just inside the scored lines – fold up the scallps.
  9. Glue black scalloped piece to white card base.
  10. Add the rest of pieces with glue and pop dots.

Crazy Card Party #16 - Sewing

Regan has challenged us to use sewing on our card this week.... well one of my fellow partier's recently gave me a really cool stitching template from studio calico and I could not wait to use it on this challenge!  I also used some brand new avery elle stamp and dies sets on this one along with a lawn fawn die!  So Here is the card I came up with for this challenge!

Crazy Card Party Challenge #8 - Male B-Day Card



The Challenge for this week is to create  Male B-Day Card, since I could not decide which method of transportation was coolest for a little boy I decided to make 2 cards for this challenge!



Enjoy the Ride Details:
  1. From White Cardstock Cut 2 of the from Pg 65 at 5”
  2. Cut the same from Orange Patterned paper 2 times, trim the blades off one cut and keep them.
  3. Create a card base from the 2 white cuts and glue the orange cut to the top of the card base.
  4. Cut the from Blue patterned paper 2 times.
  5. Cut the with the layer feature from white cardstock and ink the cut to create a window look.
  6. Glue all pieces to the card base ensuring that the tail also has some dimension when it is attached.
  7. Stamp sentiment on a banner and ink the edges before attaching to the card.
  8. Add the Red stars to the helicopter.

Ink:  PTI (blue, orange)

You're Out of this World Details:
  1. From White Cardstock Cut 2 of the Rocket from Pg 32 at 5”
  2. Cut the same from Orange Patterned paper.
  3. Create a card base from the 2 white cuts and glue the orange cut to the top of the card base.
  4. Cut the from Blue patterned paper.
  5. Cut the  with the layer feature from orange cardstock and.
  6. Cut the  with the layer feature from Brown Cardstock.
  7. Ink all the cuts before attaching them to the card base.
  8. Stamp sentiment in brown ink on a banner shape and ink the edges before attaching to the card.
  9. Add the Blue Stars and buttons tied with twine.
  10. Apply Glossy accents to small brown circles and let dry.

Crazy Card Party Challenge #3 - Spring Colours


This weeks challenge at Crazy Card Party is brought to you by Rosanne!  She challenged us to make something using Spring Colours!

Now I have to say.... by the time I got to doing this challenge the inspiration was just flying around and I could not resist making this cute little 3D Heart Tree! It is hard to tell that the tree is 3D but if you look close at the 2nd and 3rd pics you can tell!






Details:
  1. From Kraft cardstock cut 1 of the <3dtree1> found on Page 21 of the Tablescapes Fall & Winter  Cartridge at 5”
  2. Stamp both sides of the cut tree in brown ink using a woodgrain stamp.
  3. Cut  16 Small Hearts from Red Cardstock and the same from the Red Patterned Paper.  Ink all hearts in red chalk ink around the edges.
  4. Cut 10 Small Hearts from Pink cardstock and the same from the Pink & White Patterned paper.  Ink all hearts in pink ink around the edges. 
  5. Glue all the small hearts to the tree .  score all the patterned pieces down the centre and glue to the centre of the cardstock hearts to create dimention.
  6. Once all the hearts are glued on slide the tree pieces together to create the 3D tree.
  7. Cut some stripes of green cardstock and create some fringe along one side… glue around the tree base to create some grass.
  8. Stamp heart and sentiments on white cardstock trim the arrow and the me&you sentiments and apply using pop dots for dimension.
  9. Trim Sentiment and add holes for the sign then ink edges
  10. Using Twine attach the sign to the tree.
