Crazy Card Party #24 - Canada Day, Red & White (Oh Happy Day Eh!)

The Challenge this week on Crazy Card Party is to use the colours Red and White!  I could not resist making a cute little Canada Day Card!  I also used my Cricut for the scalloped Square and Leaf!


Details:
  1. Cut  the Scalloped Square with the Shadow feature from Black Cardstock at 4 ½”.
  2. Trim the edges off of a Red Doily.
  3. Hand cut the Picture frame  from the patterned paper.
  4. Stamp the sentiment in the centre of the frame
  5. Cut 3 of the Leaf at 2” using Real Dial Size and the icon buttons from Striped patterned paper and Red cardstock.
  6. Using the cuttlebug and the tiny tags die cut the heart die from patterned paper and stamp Eh!
  7. Using a paper towel and white pigment ink create a chalkboard look by rubbing the link with the paper towel onto the black cardstock shape.
  8. Score a square in the centre of the scallops and draw a white line just inside the scored lines – fold up the scallps.
  9. Glue black scalloped piece to white card base.
  10. Add the rest of pieces with glue and pop dots.

Crazy Card Party #23 - Use the Gold Doily Thing from Patricia's Tea Party!

The Challenge this week at Crazy Card Party is to use this cute little Gold Doily thing from a Tea Party that we all attended!!  Here is my project!  I used a card from pinterest for the inspiration!


Details:
  1. Cut a piece of White cardstock to be 4 x 5 ½”  and use this as your base to sew the patterned paper onto.
  2. Cut a piece of Vellum to be slightly smaller than the White Cardstock.
  3. Using gold ink and the back of the chevron stamp stamp some diagonal lines across the vellum cut.
  4. Sew the Vellum across the top to the white card base.
  5. Pop Dot the old Doily from the vellum.
  6. Stamp the sentiment on white cardstock and cut into a banner shape. 
  7. Tie some black twine around the sentiment.
  8. Cut some black hearts and glue to the card.

Crazy Card Party #22 - Use some Flair!

The Challenge this week on Crazy Card Party was to use some Flair!  
Here is my Project:


Details:
  • Cut a piece of White cardstock to be 4 x 5 ½”  and use this as your base to sew the patterned paper onto.
  • Cut the Black Grid at 4x4”
  • Cut the Grey Music paper at 1 ½ x 4”
  • Cut the Yellow dot at 1 x 4” and glue to white cut cardstock
  • Then use the sewing machine to sew the accents.
  • Using the punches cut 3 different sizes of circles from the pink patterned paper and 2 of the smallest circle from the teal paper for the leaves.
  • Hand cut a stem for the flower from the teal paper.
  • Stamp the sentiment in black ink on white cardstock and trim down to fit the card.
  • Fold the 3 pink circles in half 3 times and ink.
  • Fold the teal circles in half and fold over each half to create a leaf.  Ink these and the stem.
  • Glue all the flower pieces together and use the flair piece in the centre.
  • Tie Bow around card from Chevron ribbon.
  • Attach tag using a wooden clothes pin. 
  • Add tab to the side of the card.

Crazy Card Party #21 - One Layer Card


Ok - so I know you all thought I would fail this challenge!  But I think I rocked it - so much so I even made 2 cards!  The first card I tried a really cool technique with some Ranger Sticky Embossing Powder and some Distress Glitter!


This second one I did using a stamp set that my friend Patricia let me check out from Studio Calico!

FCCB #210 - Celebrate Mom

The challenge this week on Fantabulous Cricut Challeng Blog is to Celebrate Mom... since the contest is for an SVG Cuts gift card I decided to combine a SVG file with some Cricut Tulips to create this little 3D project!  I use the Fence box from the "For My Valentine" with some Tulip cuts from the Artiste Cricut Cartridge to create some 3D Tulips.

Details:
  1. From White Cardstock cut the fence and the the box SVG Files from the For My Valentine set from White cardstock and put the fence box together.
  2. Cut 16 Tulips from the Artiste Cricut using the  ( and the Accent 2 button from Pink patterned paper.
  3. Ink all the edges of the tulips in pink ink and score down the centre of each of the tulips.
  4. Use 4 tulips to create the 3D tulip by gluing ½ of the tulip to the 2nd half of the tulip until all edges are glued  for 4 tulips to create the 3D Tulip.
  5. Cut down 4 Green striped paper straws to 5” each and flatten the top of the straw to make sure that it will fit inside the 3D tulips when you are gluing them together
  6. Cut the Banner from the SVG File set   from pink patterned paper and ink the edges in pink ink.
  7. Cut a doily in half and apply ruffle green ribbon.
  8. Stamp the letters MOM on the banner in black ink.
  9. Add doily and banner onto the fence.
  10. Punch butterfly and add bling then glue to the fence.
  11. Add ribbon to the tulips.
