LRW & 2 Scrapbook Friends - Dual Challenge

My post today is playing double duty!  I have had a busy week and it was my turn to issue a card challenge on the Two Scrapbook Friends Forum so since we are so close to Halloween and my schedule has been a little busy lately I am using this card for both challenges...

The patterned paper is Echo park. It is hard to tell on the photo but I have added a layer of glitter to the ghost diecut shap - I used a little Tule as a Ribbon and tied a bow and added a Queen and Company Halloween Brad that says Boo to You!

I hope you can join us this week  in creating a Halloween Themed project and link it up to both sites - the links can be found on my sidebar!

2SF's Friendzy Friday

I thought I would share with you today how to make your own Glittered Chipboard Letters!!

Things you will need are:  Bare Chipboard pieces or ones that you want to recover in some way, Some Paint, I like to use the same colour of paint as I do Glitter.  Some Glitter, and glitter glue, and a paint brush.

First Paint your letters using a couple coats to ensure good coverage.  Let die a few hours.

Next apply glitter glue to the the painted chipboard piece and apply the glitter generously.  Shake off excess glitter and save for future use.  Let the glue dry a few hours before using on your project.

This is the layout I created using my glittered Chipboard Pieces!

LRW - Somethibg Old, Something New

The challenge this week on Little Red Wagon was Something Old, Something new!  I must say I struggled with this challenge so much as I wanted to incorporate the Wedding theme to it!  As I was checking out some of my Cricut Cartridges this is what I ended up with!  I am so excited about it!

The something old is the Cartridge - Tie the Knot and the something New is the Tulle, now once I cut the dress I just could not resist finishing it off with Something Borrowed... is the Sentiment I typed up on the Computer and the something Blue which is PTI Ribbon and a Prima mini flower!  I also used the Cuttlbug embossing folder to emboss the top portion fo the Wedding Dress!

I hope you can play along with us this week!  Dont forget to check out what the other Girlfriends have created and to link up your projects on the Little Red Wagon Blog!

Dinasour Card!

Well it is my nephews birthday and I made him this cute little Dinasour card using the Cricut and the Create a Critter Cartridge!

I love how he turned out!  I used all 3 layer features and the Pattered Paper is by Die Cuts with a Veiw!  I added a little green stickles to the spots on his back and then once they were dry I then added some glossy accents!

We will be having a family get together on Monday so I hope he likes his card from Auntie!
