Little Red Wagon - Challenge#1

Well, this is our First Challenge by The Girlfriends from the Little Red Wagon!

Regan came up with the Challenge of Using Scrappy Packaging! Well I tell you this could not have been better timing for me! I had just received my replacement Slice Machine from Making Memories so can you spot the packaging used from this picture on my layout? There are 4 items I used from this packaging picture!

I had so much fun putting this layout together and of course I was never so excited to have received a new Pink Slice as a replacement under warranty... Making Memories really surpassed my expectations for Customer Service. The turn around time was only 2 weeks and not only did they replace my slice machine but they gave me the whole pink Kit (including, pink blades, matt and both slice design cards), A making Memories Pink Slice Apron, and a ton of Making memories products! Thanks So much! Here is the layout created from the packaging:

Details are as follows: The 4 items used from the Scrappy Packaging are the Making Memories Ribbon, The Accetate Hearts (diecut from Plastic), The Multicoloured Flower was diecut from Cardboard and the 4th item was I recreated the Slice Logo using my Cricut & Sure Cuts A Lot Software. Cardstock & Polka Dot (Bazzill), Crushed Velvet Cardstock by Doodlebug in Black, 2 pinks and green, Stampin Up Split Punch, Felt Butterfly (Creative Cafe) and Bling & Stickles.

It was so cool to recrate the slice logo Using the Sure Cuts A Lot & my Cricut Machine and I cut it fromt the Crushed Velvet Paper, I also used some Cricut Cartridges for the Flowers.

I just love how this layout turned out! I is unfortunate the the picture does not do it justice! The texture to the layout is so cool if you see it in person!

Thanks Regs for a great Challenge, I thought this would have been so hard until the pink box arrived!

Birthday Card for my Mom!

Well it was my mom's birthday on Wednesday and she and my Dad came for a visit for Dinner... I made Chicken Cordon Swiss, Scalloped Potatoes and Broccoli and also made our traditional Family Birthday Cake but made it a little fancier by making it into 2 levels. I also had a brainstorm when I was at the liquor store and picked up a bottle of Baby Duck - my mom said she used to drink this as a teen! So thought it would be a nice meal!

Card Details: Patterned Paper is My Mind's Eye (Bohemia - Bliss"Love of my Life" Tiny Dots/Blue and I made the two Hearts using a sizzix die, I used the Alphalicous Cricut Cartridge for the Wording "mom" and stickled them. Stamped the saying Birthday wishes on a cuttlebug tag and distressed it with blue ink. I added some ribbon and ric rac to the card along with a small felt cupcake by Martha Stewart!

Cosmo Cricket - Card #2

Here is the 2nd Card for the Class I used a House shaped board book for this one and followed the same instructions for creating the shaped card as I did for the first. I used my Stampin Up Scallop Border Punch to create the look of the shingles on the roof! Again - I added a little bling with some Stickles to the die cut from the Die cut sheet. All other items are from the Cosmo Cricket Jolly by Golly Line of paper except for the ribbon.

Cosmo Card #1 -

Well, I have created 4 cards from the Cosmo Cricket - Jolly by Golly line for an upcoming card class I will be teaching. I was wandering around M's one day and came across these Christmas Shaped board books and thought wow would they ever make cute card shapes! So this is the first of the set of 4!
Details for the card... I folded over a piece of 12x12 cardstock and traced the mitten shape of the boardbook onto the cardstock and the patterned paper... The yellow snowflake is a punch shape I have and added a little stickles to it and the pick frame around the skating bird! All other items are from the Cosmo Line Jolly by Golly except of course for the ribbon!
