Bellerific Friday Challenge!

Well I decided to the Bellerific Friday Challenge since I have had so much time this past week to play! We were to use a Bella Stamp and a supplied Sketch!

So I kinda Swaped the layout upside down and gave the vertical strip a decorative edge and because of the layout of the card overlapped the rectangle over the vertical strip! and voilia... this is what the result was!

Details - I used my new Hannah Lollipop stamp and coloured her in with my copics... the Patterned paper is Tickled Pink - Explore by 3bugsinarug! Added a little Black and Pink Cardstock scraps and some ribbon from M's, little tiny flower bling and stickles on her dress and bow in her hair!
There is still time to play... so get craftin!

My 1st PTI Blog Hop! - Gift Tag

I am so excited to be participating in the PTI Blog hop for the very first time this evening... and I was so inspired by the Buttons Challenge from the Little Red Wagon this week that I decided to incorporate the two together for this quick and easy Gift Tag!

Details are as follows: PTI Stamps (Holiday Button Bits, Vintage Ornaments Additions & Vintage Labels) I created the background on the blue cardstock using a diamond pattern from the Vintage Ornaments Additions stamp set to give a tone on tone look... I used the Vitage Lables set with my Labels 1 Spellbinders die and stamped the dotted outline from the Vintage Labels Stamp set in Raspberry . I then created the triangle shape in the blue cardstock and used the Holiday Button Bits set to creat the christmas tree and because it is Christmas time and everything thing should be nice and shiny and glitzy I just had to add some Bling to the centre of the buttons on the tree!

Thanks... and I can not wait to see what everyone else has created!!!

LRW Challenge #4 - Buttons!

Dee is the one who was in charge of the Little Red Wagon Challenge this week and she chose Buttons! Well let me tell you... I had so much fun creating this one that I decided to create 2 other items with buttons for the Cards Blog Challenge for this week - they will be posted individually later in the week!

Details for this card: PTI Everyday Button Bits, Cosmo Cricket Patterned Paper, Spellbinder dies (circle and scallop circle) - a little sewing around the edge and some PTI Hibiscus Burst Buttons for the flowers with some added bling in the centre. One last final item of a Heidi Swapp felt butterfly with bling added finishes off the Ribbon & Bow! Thanks Dee for helping me to use my Button Bits set for the first time!

"Joy" Snowflake Card

I seriously can not tell you how much fun I have had playing in my scrapbook room lately... I found these Felt Coasters in a Snowflake Shape at M's the other day! I thought they would make a cool accent on a card! I put this one together really quickly last night while Cooking Dinner! I used a new Slice card (Fa la la) I picked up to create the word Joy in Glittery paper. I cut two snowflakes using my Marvey punch... one in white flocked paper and one in glittery white paper and attached them with a button and a pink pearl to create the O in Joy. I attatched the whole coaster to a die cut using my labels three spellbinder die! Added two Ribbon Bows... one pink sheer and one white sheer with silver edge! Patterned paper is by American Crafts!

"Your Such A Hoot" Bella Card!

ok - so I have so wanted to play around with this Bella Stamp since I bought it in the summer and this is the first time I managed to actually pick it up! It is so adorable... and I found this bella sentiment in my stash too that I thought was just perfect for the stamp!

Details: I coloured the owls with my copics... for the ruffled feather look on their bellies and wing I used my colourless blender to remove some of the colour by creating dotts on their bellies... then added a little colour highlight in the dots with the darkest colour I used to colour them with then added a little glaze using a glaze pen... Add some stickles to their tree branch and we are all set! Used my split punch to create the scallop edge and added some bling! Patterned paper is from the Green Stack!

Little Red Wagon - Challenge #3

Challenge # 3 on Little Red Wagon was "Distress it Up" well... let me tell you.... I have not distressed anything in a while and I had a blast making this card! Thank you Karan for introducing me to distressing again! I might just have to use this a little more often!

Card Details: American Crafts Patterned Paper, the Beige that I distressed using Chocolate Paper Stain by All my Memories was the back of the patterned paper! And of course once I decided on this paper from my stash it called out for the Damask Designs Stamp set from PTI! Ink is Dark Chocolate from PTI, a little ribbon and bling was added too!
I hope you decide to play along with our challenge blog.... I am having a blast using stuff I have had forever! Dee and Reg's.... I hear your snickering... I know I know... you are thinking ya... and it was probably still in the package even! LOL!

Cupcake Wrapper

It is my girlfriends daughters birthday this coming weekend and I was asked to see if I could find some cupcake wrappers to create for her.... I came up with the following free scal file that I found and cut it on my cricut using the Sure Cuts a Lot software.... I am loving the combo of this software with my cricut machine.... it makes it so much more versatile... I made 24 wrappers in pink, yellow, green and purple for her party!

Bella Card #3

Here is the 3rd Card from the class with Linda Heavens in Bella Land... The snow under the card was created with liquid applique and while it was still wet you add a little glitter... let it dry for 24 hours and then heat with embossing gun... this turned out too cool... I will have to keep this in the back of my find for some other crafty items in the future! I added a little Ribbon to the card layout...

Litle Red Wagon - Challenge #2

The Challenge for this week on "Little Red Wagon" was to use some left over Christmas scraps to create a card!

Here is what I made... I think the patterned paper is Chatterbox but since it was scraps I am not sure... I also used a stamp set from last year that was released by PTI the 2008 Holiday Tags Collection. I added the sentiment from the same stamp set and added some bling with stickles!

Little Red Wagon - Challenge#1

Well, this is our First Challenge by The Girlfriends from the Little Red Wagon!

Regan came up with the Challenge of Using Scrappy Packaging! Well I tell you this could not have been better timing for me! I had just received my replacement Slice Machine from Making Memories so can you spot the packaging used from this picture on my layout? There are 4 items I used from this packaging picture!

I had so much fun putting this layout together and of course I was never so excited to have received a new Pink Slice as a replacement under warranty... Making Memories really surpassed my expectations for Customer Service. The turn around time was only 2 weeks and not only did they replace my slice machine but they gave me the whole pink Kit (including, pink blades, matt and both slice design cards), A making Memories Pink Slice Apron, and a ton of Making memories products! Thanks So much! Here is the layout created from the packaging:

Details are as follows: The 4 items used from the Scrappy Packaging are the Making Memories Ribbon, The Accetate Hearts (diecut from Plastic), The Multicoloured Flower was diecut from Cardboard and the 4th item was I recreated the Slice Logo using my Cricut & Sure Cuts A Lot Software. Cardstock & Polka Dot (Bazzill), Crushed Velvet Cardstock by Doodlebug in Black, 2 pinks and green, Stampin Up Split Punch, Felt Butterfly (Creative Cafe) and Bling & Stickles.

It was so cool to recrate the slice logo Using the Sure Cuts A Lot & my Cricut Machine and I cut it fromt the Crushed Velvet Paper, I also used some Cricut Cartridges for the Flowers.

I just love how this layout turned out! I is unfortunate the the picture does not do it justice! The texture to the layout is so cool if you see it in person!

Thanks Regs for a great Challenge, I thought this would have been so hard until the pink box arrived!

Birthday Card for my Mom!

Well it was my mom's birthday on Wednesday and she and my Dad came for a visit for Dinner... I made Chicken Cordon Swiss, Scalloped Potatoes and Broccoli and also made our traditional Family Birthday Cake but made it a little fancier by making it into 2 levels. I also had a brainstorm when I was at the liquor store and picked up a bottle of Baby Duck - my mom said she used to drink this as a teen! So thought it would be a nice meal!

Card Details: Patterned Paper is My Mind's Eye (Bohemia - Bliss"Love of my Life" Tiny Dots/Blue and I made the two Hearts using a sizzix die, I used the Alphalicous Cricut Cartridge for the Wording "mom" and stickled them. Stamped the saying Birthday wishes on a cuttlebug tag and distressed it with blue ink. I added some ribbon and ric rac to the card along with a small felt cupcake by Martha Stewart!
