Crazy Card Party #33 - Triangles (You Are My Fave)

Sharon has asked that we use triangles on our Crazy Card Party Challenge for this week and I just could not resist breaking open my new Dear Lizzy Banners Embossing folder!  I decided to colour in the bows and the top embossed banner with my copics to add a little colour!


Details:
  1. Emboss the banners on the front of the card.
  2. Colour the ribbons on the embossing red and the banners along the top in Green, Blue and yellow.
  3. Cut a red banner strip for behind the sentiment sticker.
  4. Apply the Sticker Sentiment, Chipboard Clouds and Dragonfly.

FCCB Challenge #225 - Back to School (3D Knapsack)

Create a back to school project

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used.

I have a lot of fun making 3D items and I just could not resist making this little Knapsack from the Campin Critters Cricut Cartridge!  


I used my Cricut Imagine Machine and the Enjoy the Seasons Imagine cartridge to cut the apple!


As you can tell by this next picture I felt it still needed some more dimension so I created 2 apple cuts (one slightly smaller and layered it for some added dimension!

Details:
  1. Cut the on Page 69 of the Campin’ Critters Cricut Cartridge at 10 ½” from the (Blue with white polka dots).
  2. Cut the same out of the brown patterned paper and stop the cutting after the straps.
  3. Cut with the Layer 2 option out of the same brown patterned paper.
  4. Cut the with the Shift key and Layer 1 option from the same brown patterned paper.
  5. Assemble Backpack as per instructions.
  6. Cut the Red Apple without the worm and the stem from Page 16 of the Enjoy the Seasons Imagine Cartridge at 3.2” and an apple without the worm at 2.5”  Ink the edges of all of the apple pieces with Brown Ink.
  7. Trim Leaf to fit the 3.2” apple and fold it and glue it so it folds up.  Trim off the stem of the 2.5 and fold the apple in have and glue it to the apple so it folds up.
  8. Using Glossy Accents apply glitter to the leaf of the apple.
  9. Ink the chipboard letters with blue, yellow and green ink and let dry.  Then apply glossy accents to the top of the chipboard letters.
  10. Punch a tag using tag punch and stamp sentiment onto tag.  Ink edges of tag in brown ink.  Tie Tag around the stem of the apple with twine.
  11. Glue the Chipboard letters to the centre of the apple once they are dry.
  12. Glue the apple to front flap of the Knapsack
  13. Tread Twine through 2 Blue Buttons and glue to side pockets

Crazy Card Party #32 - Watercolour (Birthday Wishes)

This weeks Challenge on Crazy Card Party is create a Watercolour Card - now there are so many ways to go about doing this so I decided to try out my Distress Inks and created the background in the larger Quote!

Details:
  1. Use your Distress Inks to create a Watercolour effect on the Tim Holtz watercolour paper.
  2. Let it dry completely.
  3. Then Using White Embossing Powder emboss the Sentiment Birthday wishes.
  4. Die cut the Large Quote and use the negative piece for the front of the card.  Pop dot this over the watercoloured piece of paper.
  5. Stamp the Happy Birthday Quote in Red Ink and diecut using the matching die.
  6. Colour in the leaves with a green copic marker.
  7. Diecut the 2 flowers from blue felt and add to the the happy birthday quote  Add some bling to the centre of the flowers.
  8. Pop Dot the Happy Birthday Quote.

FCCB Challenge #224 - Campout (Camping Scene)


This weeks challenge on the Fantabulous Cricut Challeng Blog is...
Campout!  

I could not resist creating this cute little scene!


First up is this little tent I created using the Campin' Critters Cricut Cartridge.  I could not resist cutting out the little sign and stars to add to the tent!


And what is  campsite without a camp fire and smores!  Here I used an SVG file from SVG Cuts called Camp Firefly


Next up I just could not leave it be and had to add this little sign to set the scene!

Details for all three projects are listed below:

Tent
Details:

  1. From Green yellow patterned paper cut the at 11.5”
  2. Cut the roof of the tent from the Blue Patterned Paper using the layer feature at the same size.
  3. Cut the from the Red Patterned Paper at the same size.
  4. Pierce a whole in the centre of the crease for the tent flap roof.
  5. Punch 2 Medium stars from Yellow Patterned paper and place wire between the stars then curl wire.
  6. Punch a bunch of small stars from same yellow patterned paper.
  7. Glue all the pieces together following the instructions on the cricut cartridge.
  8. Glue a piece of stryrofoam to the inside of the tent and place wired star thru the top of the tent.
  9. Glue small stars and sign to the top of the tent.

Campfire
Details:

  1. Cut all the pieces at the specified widths from the different patterned papers.
  2. Put together all the pieces following the instructions for the SVG Files.
  3. Add embellishments.

Sign
Details:

  1. Cut out the sign from the patterned paper.
  2. Glue a piece of brown cardstock to the back.
  3. Pain the wooden pieces brown.
  4. Using Pop Dots add the sticker that says Gone Fishing making sure to punch two small holes in the top first.
  5. Place the brad thru the eyelet and attaché to the paper.  Tie some twine around the brad and through the holes on the sticker.

Crazy Card Party #31 - Kraft & White (Just Thinking of You)

Rosanne has challenged us this week on Crazy Card Party to create a project with Kraft and White!  I had a lot of fun using my new Crate Paper Embossing folder by Maggie Holmes!  I embossed it on Kraft paper and then took a white pigment ink pad lightly to the embossed areas to highlight them!  I made a little rolled flower from felt and added some doilies!


Details:
  1. Use your Embossing Folder to emboss a piece of Kraft Cardstock with the Doily Embossing folder.
  2. Ink the Emossed images and around the kraft cut with white pigment ink.
  3. Trim down a doily to fit the front of the card.
  4. Trim down a smaller doily
  5. Stamp sentiment in Black ink and trim into a banner shape.
  6. Cut the leaves with a die from Green felt and tie a piece of twine around the stem.
  7. Cut a Rolled flower from Red felt and roll and place a pearl in the centre.
  8. Glue the Leaves and flowers to the smaller doily.
  9. Pop dot the doily’s from the card giving some dimension.

FCCB Challenge #223 Use a Sketch - You Anchor Me

The Challenge this week on the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog is to us a sketch!

I ended up flipping the sketch top to bottom and did not take the 3 strips of paper all the way to the edge to get this card, I hope you like it! 


The scalloped waves were made with the Accent Essentials Cricut Cartridge.


Isn't this little boat and anchor just so cute!  Our sponsor for this weeks prize is from Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons and they have the most adorable little cut files!  I decided to use their boat and anchor cuts for this card!   The cut file can be found here:

Details:
  1. I turned the sketch upside down for inspiration.
  2. Cut the Boat SVG file from the Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons at 3” from the different patterned papers and glue all the pieces together.
  3. Cut the anchor from the same set of svg files in Red cardstock at 1” and tie some twine around the anchor.
  4. Using the Accent Essentials Cricut cartridge cut 3 of the from Pg 81 at ½” from the Blue patterned paper.
  5. Stamp sentiment using the 2 different stamp sets from Red and black ink.
  6. Die cut Red heart using the cuttlebug machine and the simon says stamp heart die.
  7. Glue all the pieces onto a white card base.
  8. Along the bottom edge of the top scalloped border draw some dashed lines with a black marker.
  9. Add some glitter with a wink of stella pen and some glossy accents to the heart and allow it to dry.
  10. Round the top 2 corners with a corner rounder.

Crazy Card Party #30 - Not an A2 Sized Card (Hippo Horray)

For this weeks Crazy Card Party Challenge Regan has asked that we make a card that is not the normal A2 Sized Card so I have decided to do a shaped card using my Cricut machine and the Create A Critter Cartridge!  


I used a Paper Smooches Stamp set for the sentiment! 

Details:
  1. From White and light blue cardstock cut using the Accessory Feature at 2”
  2. Using the flip feature cut another one from white cardstock.
  3. Cut the from white cardstock and blue patterned paper  and blue cardstock (trim off and use ears only)at 3”.
  4. Then cut a white one from with the flip feature.
  5. Cut the Layer 3 face from Blue cardstock and layer a piece of black cardstock behind the mouth.
  6. Add some black pearls for the eyes.
  7. Cut the Grass using the with the shift and Accessory feature  2 times from Green cardstock and 2 times from white cardstock.
  8. Glue the white pieces together to create the card base and then glue all the coloured pieces to the base, with the grass cut score the grass pieces to give a little dimension.
  9. Add the punched wave stripes and the flower on the hippo.

FCCB#222 - Bug Out (Follow Your Dreams)


The Challenge this week on Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog is to use a Bug on your Project.  I found this cute little Butterfly on the Create a Critter Cartridge!


Here is a close up of the little Butterfly!


Details:
  1. From Green Cardstock cut the at 2”
  2. Cut the Layer one with the shift to get the first layer from green cardstock as well
  3. From the dark pink patterned paper cut 2 of the Layer 2 for the butterfly.
  4. From the Light Pink patterned pape cut 1 of the Layer 3 for the butterfly.
  5. Glue all the pieces together adding some accents to the butterfly.
  6. Create the Blue watercolour background with the Distress ink and let dry.
  7. Stamp the Butterfly Trail in Black ink. 
  8. Stamp the sentiment in Black as well.
  9. Tie some twine around the card and add some sequins.
