Crazy Card Party Challenge #3 - Spring Colours


This weeks challenge at Crazy Card Party is brought to you by Rosanne!  She challenged us to make something using Spring Colours!

Now I have to say.... by the time I got to doing this challenge the inspiration was just flying around and I could not resist making this cute little 3D Heart Tree! It is hard to tell that the tree is 3D but if you look close at the 2nd and 3rd pics you can tell!






Details:
  1. From Kraft cardstock cut 1 of the <3dtree1> found on Page 21 of the Tablescapes Fall & Winter  Cartridge at 5”
  2. Stamp both sides of the cut tree in brown ink using a woodgrain stamp.
  3. Cut  16 Small Hearts from Red Cardstock and the same from the Red Patterned Paper.  Ink all hearts in red chalk ink around the edges.
  4. Cut 10 Small Hearts from Pink cardstock and the same from the Pink & White Patterned paper.  Ink all hearts in pink ink around the edges. 
  5. Glue all the small hearts to the tree .  score all the patterned pieces down the centre and glue to the centre of the cardstock hearts to create dimention.
  6. Once all the hearts are glued on slide the tree pieces together to create the 3D tree.
  7. Cut some stripes of green cardstock and create some fringe along one side… glue around the tree base to create some grass.
  8. Stamp heart and sentiments on white cardstock trim the arrow and the me&you sentiments and apply using pop dots for dimension.
  9. Trim Sentiment and add holes for the sign then ink edges
  10. Using Twine attach the sign to the tree.

Crazy Card Party Challenge #2 - Kraft Card


Welcome to Challenge #2 at Crazy Card Party!  The Challenge this week is brought to you by Regan and she has requested that we create a Kraft Card! 

I have always wanted to make a shovel card with a valentine's theme!

Details:

  1. From White Cardstock Cut 2 of the using the layer feature at 6 ½” and one From Kraft cardstock.
  2. Score the top of one of the white card bases and glue the top portion to the other white cut to create the card base.
  3. Using Brown ink stamp the kraft piece with the background stamp.
  4. Glue the kraft piece to the card base.
  5. Glue on all of the cardstock hearts. Fold the patterned pieces in half and glue to the cardstock hearts to create some dimension.
  6. Stamp sentiment & ink edges
  7. Tie a bow around the handle, add sentiment and punched hearts.

Crazy Card Party Challenge #1 - Celebration



I am so excited to be a part of a new Challenge Blog called "Crazy Card Party" with a bunch of my very cool friends who decided they wanted to keep the momentum of creating going by starting a challenge blog! 
For the first challenge I wanted my card to really reflect the 1st post of the Challenge Blog so I decided to create a #1 Shaped Candle Card!  I used my Cricut Expression to create the following card:


Details:
  1. From White cardstock cut 2 of the #1 on Page 65 of the Sweet Treats Cricut Cartridge at 5”
  2. Cut another # 1 from the Patterned Paper and trim the candle flame from the candle
  3. Cut another  #1 from the Yellow Cardstock.
  4. Score one of the white cuts 1 ¾” from the top and glue the top portion to the other white cut to create the card base.
  5. Using the cuttlebug & the PTI Tiny Tags Die cut a small tag from white cardstock and apply “Life is good sticker").
  6. Stamp “Let’s Celebrate” using Black ink on white cardstock and cut out like a banner shape, then ink edges in pink ink.
  7. Glue the yellow candle cut to the front of the card base.
  8. Tie a Pink bow around the patterned paper candle, using green  twine attach a blue button and the small tag to the bow.  Add the flower sticker and some bling to the button.
  9. Attach sentiment banner and pop dot the patterned candle to the front of the card base.
  10. Add some Yellow Stickles to the flame on the candle.
