LRW- Challenge #40 - Circles

Dee's Challenge for this week on Little Red Wagon is to use Circles on your project! While I was creating my DT Layouts for this month's Two Scrapbook Friends Reveal I created the following layout and I added Circles to my Tree!

This layout and title just came to me as I was checking out photos I had on my camera still... My Dad is not usually one who acts up in front of the camera and it totally made me laugh when I saw the photo! I don't even remember him doing this when I took the picture in the first place!

The circles used were hand cut from the patterned paper and I pop dotted some of them to add a little dimension! I also had to add a little sparkle with some stickles!

I hope you can play along with us this week at Little Red Wagon!

LRW Challenge#37 - Use a Tree on your Project!

Happy Wednesday! This weeks Challenge on Little Red Wagon is to use a Tree somewhere on your project. I made this altered picture frame a while ago and I hand quilted the Trees from some Fabric I had in my stash!

I picked up this frame at the Dollar store and I added a little dimension to the hill by pop dotting the top layer from the other one! The sentiment is a Cornish stamp that I stamped on top of one the clouds that I hand cut out and pop dotted off the patterned as well.

I am looking forward to lots of inspiration of Trees!

Remember to check out the projects from the other Girlfriends and to link up your projects on the Litte Red Wagon Blog!

LRW - Challenge #6 - Inspiration from a Photo

Today is Wednesday and of course we have released another challenge for the week on Little Red Wagon! This time Carolyn posted a Christmas Picture that we were to use as inpiration for completing the challenge! What a beautiful Pic! There was so much that stood out to me I had a hard time picking what I wanted to use... Here is the picture we used for the inspiration for our project!
First Off that beautiful Green Colour stood out to me the most so I used it in my Ribbon Choice, I also like the flourishes so it is hard to tell but I created Flourishes on some Black Cardstock using Versamark... I also loved the colour of Blue from this picture and I chose to make some Christmas ornaments out of this colour using my Take a Bough PTI Stamp Set. Here is what I came up with for my card!

Now since the inpriation picture had some shine to it... I added some Liquid applique and glitter to the tree branch to create a snow effect as well as some green bling to match my Ribbon! This is the first time I have created something from using inpiration from a picture! At first it caught me off guard but once I started finding items in the picture that I liked it just all started coming together!

Little Red Wagon - Challenge #5 Heavy Metal!

The challenge for this week on Little Red Wagon was to use metal... I have owned these little clips in many different colours for oh... I don't know... years!!!! I always thought they were cute but never used them on anything until now... Since I was feeling a little under the weather and Ineeded a quick layout and also just loved Regan's Home Tweet Home card she did recently so I used the theme and the layout from her card and this is what I came up with! Thanks Reg's for the inspiration!

Details: Patterned paper is Crate, Stamping Bella Stamp coloured with copics, Labels 1 Spellbinders Die, PTI Vintage labels stamp, felt flower and Ribbon is from M's and some added bling to finish it off!

Dee is the one who was in charge of the Little Red Wagon Challenge this week and she chose Buttons! Well let me tell you... I had so much fun creating this one that I decided to create 2 other items with buttons for the Cards Blog Challenge for this week - they will be posted individually later in the week!

Details for this card: PTI Everyday Button Bits, Cosmo Cricket Patterned Paper, Spellbinder dies (circle and scallop circle) - a little sewing around the edge and some PTI Hibiscus Burst Buttons for the flowers with some added bling in the centre. One last final item of a Heidi Swapp felt butterfly with bling added finishes off the Ribbon & Bow! Thanks Dee for helping me to use my Button Bits set for the first time!

Little Red Wagon - Challenge #3

Challenge # 3 on Little Red Wagon was "Distress it Up" well... let me tell you.... I have not distressed anything in a while and I had a blast making this card! Thank you Karan for introducing me to distressing again! I might just have to use this a little more often!

Card Details: American Crafts Patterned Paper, the Beige that I distressed using Chocolate Paper Stain by All my Memories was the back of the patterned paper! And of course once I decided on this paper from my stash it called out for the Damask Designs Stamp set from PTI! Ink is Dark Chocolate from PTI, a little ribbon and bling was added too!
I hope you decide to play along with our challenge blog.... I am having a blast using stuff I have had forever! Dee and Reg's.... I hear your snickering... I know I know... you are thinking ya... and it was probably still in the package even! LOL!

Litle Red Wagon - Challenge #2

The Challenge for this week on "Little Red Wagon" was to use some left over Christmas scraps to create a card!

Here is what I made... I think the patterned paper is Chatterbox but since it was scraps I am not sure... I also used a stamp set from last year that was released by PTI the 2008 Holiday Tags Collection. I added the sentiment from the same stamp set and added some bling with stickles!

Little Red Wagon - Challenge#1

Well, this is our First Challenge by The Girlfriends from the Little Red Wagon!

Regan came up with the Challenge of Using Scrappy Packaging! Well I tell you this could not have been better timing for me! I had just received my replacement Slice Machine from Making Memories so can you spot the packaging used from this picture on my layout? There are 4 items I used from this packaging picture!

I had so much fun putting this layout together and of course I was never so excited to have received a new Pink Slice as a replacement under warranty... Making Memories really surpassed my expectations for Customer Service. The turn around time was only 2 weeks and not only did they replace my slice machine but they gave me the whole pink Kit (including, pink blades, matt and both slice design cards), A making Memories Pink Slice Apron, and a ton of Making memories products! Thanks So much! Here is the layout created from the packaging:

Details are as follows: The 4 items used from the Scrappy Packaging are the Making Memories Ribbon, The Accetate Hearts (diecut from Plastic), The Multicoloured Flower was diecut from Cardboard and the 4th item was I recreated the Slice Logo using my Cricut & Sure Cuts A Lot Software. Cardstock & Polka Dot (Bazzill), Crushed Velvet Cardstock by Doodlebug in Black, 2 pinks and green, Stampin Up Split Punch, Felt Butterfly (Creative Cafe) and Bling & Stickles.

It was so cool to recrate the slice logo Using the Sure Cuts A Lot & my Cricut Machine and I cut it fromt the Crushed Velvet Paper, I also used some Cricut Cartridges for the Flowers.

I just love how this layout turned out! I is unfortunate the the picture does not do it justice! The texture to the layout is so cool if you see it in person!

Thanks Regs for a great Challenge, I thought this would have been so hard until the pink box arrived!
