FCCB#218 - Summer Treats (You Make Life Sweet)

So I have some really cool news to share with you all today.  I am now a part of the Design Team for the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog and I am so excited to be joining the Team!

While my official first post is not till next week I just could not resist playing along with this Challenge of Summer Treats.  This project immediately came to my mind!  I used the following Cricut Cartridges:  Tags, Bags, Boxes and More (Tag), Country Life (Double Cherry), Sweet Tooth  Boxes (3D Cherry) along with a SVG File from SVG Cuts called Ice Cream Birthday for the Cone!

Here is a close up of the little 3D Cherry that I made using the Sweet Tooth Boxes Cricut Cartridge.  I just could not resist adding glitter to it to make it sparkle!

Here is a closer look of the Tag that I created with the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cartridge and the Cherry was from the Country Life Cartridge.

Details:
  • From Kraft Cardstock cut the cone and cone panels at the size noted on the SVG File.
  • Cut from pink cardstock the cone lid following the size noted on the SVG File.
  • Cut the panels for the cone lid from the chevron pink patterned paper following the size noted on the SVG File.
  • Cut the Cherry from Red Cardstock following the size noted on the SVG File.
  • Following the instructions provided with the SVG File put the ice cream cone together.
  • Cut the tag from pg 91 of the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More Cartridge from white cardstock at 3”.
  • Cut the from pg 49 of the Country Life Cricut Cartridge from Brown Cardstock at 3”.
  • Cut the from Red Cardstock 2 times at 3”.
  • Cut the using the layer 1 feature from green cardstock 2 times t the same size.
  • Cut the 3D Cherry from the Sweet Tooth boxes using the Real dial Size at 1 ¾”  2 times from the following cardstock colours (Brown, Green and Red) trim off what is not required and glue together trimming unnecessary pieces making sure to add glitter to the red and green cuts before gluing together.
  • Ink the Tag in pink distress ink  and glue the pieces of the cherry and the stamped banner to the tag.
  • Apply Glitter to pieces using glossy accents and put together all the pieces.
  • Tie the Tag to the cone using ribbon or twine.
