FCCB # 241 - Anything Goes Holiday Edition


This weeks challenge on the Fantabulous Cricut Challeng Blog is...
Anything Goes Holiday Edition!!!!

I could not resist making these holiday towels using the Christmas Cheer (tree) & Joys of the Season (ornament) Cricut Cartridges!



Tree Towel Details:
1)  Apply Fusable Web to fabric following the directions of the fusable web purchased.
2)  Using the Christmas Cheer Cricut Cartridge cut The from page 91 from the Green fabric at 6”  using the Blackout Feature
3)  Hand cut a tree trunk from the brown fabric
4)  Following the instructions fuse the Brown Tree Trunk the Tea Towel first.
5)  Then fuse the Green Tree Cut the Tea Towel overlapping slightly the Brown Tree Trunk.
6)  Using sewing machine stitch around the Christmas Tree using a matching thread colours
7)  Tie a bow with the Green Ribbon and hand sew the bow and a red button to the  bottom of the Christmas Tree.

Ribbon: PTI (Green)
Fabric:  Noel by Susan Winget (green) and Mrs March’s Collection in Antique (Brown)
Tea Towel:  Gillett’s from Canadian Tire (Red)
Fusable Web:  HeatnBond Lite
Buttons:  Red button from PTI
Die cut machine:  Cricut Expression
Die cut cartridges:  Christmas Cheer Pg 91 using the Blackout Feature cut at 6”
Sewing machine:  Kenmore
Thread:  Guetermann

Ornament Towel Detials
1)  Apply Fusable Web to fabric following the directions of the fusable web purchased.
2)  Using the Joys of the Season Cricut Cartridge cut The from page 79 from the Fa la la fabric at 3 ½”  using the Blackout Feature
3)  Using the Joys of the Season Cricut Cartridge cut the from page 79 from the green Fabric at 3 ½”  using the Blackout Feature
4)  On the green fabric cut remove and cut off the Ornament portion of the fabric saving the ornament top
5)  Cut off the top of the Ornament on the fa la la fabric piece ensuring that you have a round circle.
6)  Following the instructions fuse the green cut of the Ornament to the Tea Towel first.
7)  Then fuse the Fa la la portion of the Ornament to the Tea Towel overlapping slightly the green top.
8)  Using sewing machine stitch around the Ornament top using a matching thread colours
9)  Tie a bow with the Pink Ribbon and hand sew the bow and a green button to the ornament top.

CCP Challenge #45 - Use Non-Traditional Christmas Colours

It is my turn this week to pick the challenge on Crazy Card Party!  I asked that everyone use non traditional crhistmas colours on their project!


I made this Christmas baby bib using pink and green! 

1)  Apply Fusable Web to fabric following the directions of the fusable web purchased.
2)  Using the Holiday Cakes Cricut Cartridge cut The from page 40 from the pink fabric at 3 ½” 
3)  Using the Holiday Cakes Cricut Cartridge cut the frompage 40 from the green Fabric
4)  Following the instructions fuse the pink cut of the dove to the bib first.
5)  Then fuse the green cut to the bib
6)  Using sewing machine stitch around the green wing using a matching thread colour
7)  Hand sew on black button for the eye.
8)  Apply a piece of green bling to the centre of the button.

FCCB #240 - Anything but a Card


This weeks challenge on the Fantabulous Cricut Challeng Blog is...
Anything but a card!!!!

I could not resist making this little home decor project using the Alphalicious Cricut Cartridge!




Details:
  1. Cut the patterned paper to fit the mini frames.
  2. Using the alphalicious cricut cartridge cut the letters “J”, “O” and “Y” at 2” in height.
  3. Run them through the xyron sticker maker to make the top of the letter sticky.
  4. Apply the red glitter to the top of the letters.
  5. Stick each letter on one of the cut squares of patterned paper.
  6. Put the pattenered paper with the letter into each of the mini frames.
  7. Glue the  Frames to the Ribbon leaving a loop of ribbon at the top of the frames.
  8. Tie another piece of the ribbon into a bow just on top of the first frame at the bottom of the loop.
  9. Attach a snowflake button to the centre of the “o” on top of the frame 
  10. Add 2 small pearls in read in the centre of the snowflake.
